Windshire is a Low-Poly Action Adventure RPG game developed by a few developers. The game is being developed in Unity using C# and has been in development for about a year on and off.

Windshire is set in Five Peaks, a fantasy medieval setting, where Humans have long over-stayed their welcome and the Orcs want their land back. You are brought in as a slave from a conquered kingdom but soon escape and build trust with the humans. The player has been tasked with aiding in conquering orc settlements through Five Peaks.

Windshire is still in a very early state. This is STAGE I of Windshire, with three more to come. Our team decided it was best to get player's feedback on the basic systems of Movement, Basic Combat, AI, and the Inventory. In addition, getting some feedback on Music, SFX, Animations, and Map Design.

I love the game and where the game is heading towards. I like the combat style and the art of the game, cant wait to see the full version of the game! I've noticed that the world is not really interactable, and the AI of the NPCs is not great, but over all, i see great potential in this game!

Windshire is an amazing, low-poly RPG game. I love the style. I have encountered a few small bugs though. Going into the water just makes you fall to the floor.

Thank you so much! We are currently working on the second phase of the game, which will fix many of these issues!

Awesome! I am so excited to see the game!

play a M&B 2

i cant do anything i pressed every key and nothing happened the combat controls are not working for me ,is there a solution for this?

This is the first time I heard of this. Currently, it is only mouse and keyboard support. WASD to move, and TAB should open the inventory.

Huh, that's really odd... What's the error?

when will there be phase 2?

Sometime in the near future, we are still working on finalizing the build.

i have an idia

you can ad a boss ork that attacks you with a magic staff and heals the other orks but he himself cant regenerate but he can call orks for help

edit:he should have a low spawn rate

I love that! Ill look into it!

thanks i cant wait for the full game i just love it and i love you guys

that would be sick

We will def look into that, but sadly for Phase III

there is no tutorial

shame on me i foun out ._.

how

I've played for around half an hour and am already loving it. Do you have an estimate for around when the full version would come out? I would love to see the full version of the game!

We are planning to release the next public build in the coming future. But the full game will take a quite some time to complete

Looking forward to it :)

can you make a steam page ?thank you

We will once the project gets closer to release.

I beg you to update the demo, plss

the character model isn't the best, but other than that everything in the game is amazing

Thank you for the feedback! We are working hard on making the best adjustments to the game!

I have also subscribed to your channel

Thank you!

and i am also in your discord

Man!!! I want this game on android!!! I need it!!! And with more phases....

We might consider this, but due to the limited specs on the Android, I do not believe it would be too easier

Played this for around 20 minutes, really enjoyed the overall feel. Looking forward to seeing how this develops!

FeedBack:

Movement:

-The controls take a bit to get used to. Moving backwards feels a bit counter-intuitive when the camera is so close to the character, feels much more natural strafing backwards when you're blocking rather than the character full 180 spinning around.

-Some of the hitboxes are a bit strange & you can jump up sides of some buildings.

-Things get very buggy when you're on uneven terrain

Combat:

-Felt a bit cumbersome, seems like attacks take slightly to long.

-Sometimes when switching from sword to bow, your shield would remain.

AI: After first death nothing would attack me.

Inventory: After going to main menu and starting new game, inventory and pause no longer worked.

SFX: When stood on uneven terrain you get white noise.

Music, Animations, and Map Design: Absolutely beautiful, Spent most of my time in awe at how pretty and detailed the map is.

Thank you for the feedback! We are glad you liked it! All bugs have been taken account of and are in the process of being fixed!

Hi there Hyve,

I've been in game for roughly 5 minutes. I just wanted to give you my first impressions.

The bad:

1. You've already addressed that you should have added a guide for some basic controls

2. The main character feels really "heavy". That's the best way I know how to explain it. It's not unresponsive, it's just "heavy". Does that make sense?

3. The main character just doesn't feel like he fits into the world. But that may just be me.

The good:

1. Music is fantastic

2. Sound effects are great

3. Love the visuals and the world (aside from the main character model)

4. The zone pop ups when you go into a new area are great, love that in games.

5. Also love that a compass was implemented!

Good work, keep it rolling!

Thank you! Main character is going under a redesign and hopefully will come out great! We are working on feel right now and we have made some leaps in that field.

Real good start with alot of potential. Love the artstyle and with more content i can see myself roaming the lands for long sessions. With as little content that is here, the quality is real high.

Since its a early build ill share my wishes for the game.

The movement felt great when alone, but was abit weird on collision. Specially on the buildings with alot of small colliders on the walls, like planks.

I had a problem with the jumping when walking downhill. It only registered the jump once every 10ish times i pressed, so really inconsistent.

I know its early so i dont expect a option menu, but i really prefer to not have smoothing on the camera, so i would love to see that togglable in later builds.

Would also love to see a unique feature that makes it stand out from the rest of action RPGs. The quality here is really high, so if you could find something unique to stand out it would be really cool.

Thank you for playtesting! We will get on with fixing those bugs mentioned and we will work on a feature to disable smoothing! Thanks again!

Nice start, but imo you should have made at least a hint on controls and what I can do in a game, before putting it on public. I was wandering a city for at least 15 minutes purposely looking for a weapon and I could find any...

Ok now I got it, Tab is for the inventory. I learned it by sheer luck.

Controls in battle are really unresponsive. When I press S I expect a character to run backwards immediately, but he just stands sometimes.

We fixed that in the project, we haven't uploaded a new build though

I agree, I should have had a list of controls on the page! I'll add them asap!

Very good start to the base of a core RPG game.  The inventory system look good.   The low poly feel is very good.  The feel of combat is very good.

Good detail to what is in the start of the game, to be able to make a good RPG core to expand on.

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the base of our project!

Great game mechanics, epic music, beautiful artwork and overall run great on my PC. With some polishing, I think the game can be a lot of fun. Cant wait for future updates! Keep up the great work!

Thank you for the feedback, we will continue polishing and making the game better! Thanks for playing

Really fun and epic plus it’s optimized to run on lower end devices.

Thank you! We worked really hard on getting the game to run correctly on most devices. Though we could definitely continue to improve

I wached your devlogs and wanted to test it but,it seams to be that it doesn`t run on linux when its possible and doesn`t take to much time please coud you make a version for linux, just if it isn`t tu much work.

Absolutely! Apologies, we will build to linux mac and windows next phase!

Wow, that is amazing, i thank you so much for responding so fast.
